A Meta title is an HTML tag which determines the title of every page of a website. Search engines use this to show a website page in Search engine Result pages.
Search Engines show a specific pixel length for a title. For example, Google displays the Meta title of a webpage for up to 580 pixels in search results. If the Meta title exceeds this limit, it will be shortened by Google. Including spaces, the Meta title length is approximately 70 characters.
The Meta title should include the most important keyword but you must avoid keyword stuffing.
Meta Description is the summary of a specific page that you provide for search engines. It is used as a snippet (short description of the page) that is visible in search results.
Although search engines like Google do show a short description of the page yet it is a good practice to provide the relevant summary yourself. It should tell the users what the page is about. Followings are the points that we can use to our advantage:
The length of the Meta description should be approximately 150-160 characters. The pixel length is approximately 1000 pixels. If the pixel length exceeds this number, it will be snipped and users won’t be able to see the rest of it.
Each page should have a unique summary specific to the information given on the page. Try to optimize it keeping the user in mind as well as the content of your website page.
Meta description should not be a forceful keyword exhibit rather it should tell the user exactly what the page is about. A good Meta description includes all the relevant points of the page.
